what is a Master Arborist?

Seth McKenzie was originally certified as ISA Arborist in 1999 and has 21 years of experience working with trees in Boise. In 2020 he was certified as a Board Certified Master Arborist. Less than 3% of all Arborists internationally can claim this.

Seth has a deep affection for Idaho generally and Boise specifically. He believes the City of Trees should and can do better when it comes to caring for our trees and is committed to helping along those lines through a personal commitment to arboricultural excellence and also through lending a hand in a cooperative fashion with community leaders and other local Arborists.

Mission Statement
To provide our clients with great value through arboricultural expertise, experience, honesty and hard work.

What is the ISA?

The International Society of Arborculturalists exists so that professionals, allied professionals, public officials, and consumers worldwide recognize the economic, environmental, and societal benefits and values of trees and their care at a cost that demonstrates the wise stewardship of resources. We are registered in the State of Illinois as a 501c (5) nonprofit organization.

The International Society of Arboriculture promotes the professional practice of arboriculture.

Our Mission: Through research, technology, and education, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees. This is our passion and serves as our mission statement.

The ISA Board Certified Master Arborist® credential is the highest level of certification offered by ISA. This credential recognizes ISA Certified Arborists® who have reached the pinnacle of their profession. In addition to passing an extensive scenario-based exam, candidates must abide by a Code of Ethics, which ensures quality of work.
